M Rawcliffe Funeral Directors has been founded and built up by one of the best known men in the area, Mr Maurice Rawcliffe.
Maurice conducted his first funeral in 1956 and since then has conducted thousands of funerals and has a similar number of testimonials, letters and thank you cards on display at his premises in Warton Street and Birch Street, which confirm the quality of the dignified and personal caring service that he offers to the community.
Maurice, was born in Albert Street, Lytham, and educated at the old, St Cuthberts school in the town and is justifiably proud of the reputation he has established.
As a time served master joiner he was able to start up his own funeral business, as was tradition at the time, and using his skills, he hand crafted his own style of coffins, in these early days he hired funeral vehicles. We are a Member of the National Association of Funeral Directors.
